Congress today targeted the BJP National President J.P. Nadda, who heads the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry besides the management of SMVDSB and the institute for their failure to take care of the rights and religious sentiments of the community while granting necessary recognition and permission to the SMVDIME, for which BJP owes an explanation and apology instead of rousing religious sentiments and vitiate the peaceful atmosphere to hide their  own failures.
Addressing a press conference here today at PCC HQ Jammu, Senior Congress leaders including Working President Shri Raman Bhalla, Chief Spokesperson Mr. Ravinder Sharma, Former MLCs Shri  Ved Mahajan and Naresh Gupta and President DCC Jammu Urban Th. Manmohan Singh questioned BJP for their failure to protect and safeguard the religious sentiments and rights of the Hindu community, while granting the necessary go head to the said institute and now trying to hide their utter failures in this regard ,by rousing the religious sentiments of the community. Right from Centre Govt. especially the concerned Ministry of the health and Family Welfare headed by  BJP President Shri J.P. Ndda to the Management of the Shrine Board, it is the ruling party – BJP which responsible for its failure in this regard. Who stopped them from taking due care of the rights and religious sentiments of the people in the matter, as per law and norms, questioned Congress leaders while hitting them hard for giving communal twist and rousing religious sentiments for their vested political interests instead of seeking apology  from people for their failures.
They said that it's no body's case that there was any illegality or bunglings in matter of selections/ allocation of seats to candidates, which appears to  have been done by the competent authority on merit ,in accordance with the norms and rules applicable at the time of admissions to the said institute. Then why to give communal twist and raise questions on the admissions, for the fault of concerned authorities at the helm of affairs ,who all belong to  BJP and its system but failed to safeguard the rights and religious sentiments of the community by not adopting  appropriate course available under law and norms.
Sharma said when there are similar examples and safeguards already available to some institutes, in our own region, the BJP and its led government at the Centre and authorities  under them, should blame themselves only and owe an explanation and seek apology from the people of Jammu and rest of the country, whom they are trying to surcharge for their political vested interests and hate politics.
The BJP and its entire brigade of MLAs, MPs and a powerful minister at the centre from the Jammu  region should explain their deep slumber over such issues of religious sensitivities and seek an apology not only for their failures but also for their attempts to surcharge the atmosphere for creating wedge in the society on the sensitive issue, to hide their own failures on the issue.
Congress sought apology from Shri J.P Nadda the BJP National President who heads the Helth Ministry at the Centre. BJP and its government at the centre and the allied authorities stand exposed on their failures in the issue and is well advised to ask their own National President Shri J P Nadda to immediately take necessary steps for course correction to honour the rights and religious sentiments of the Hindu people, as per already existing norms in this regard ,without  vitiating the peaceful atmosphere and communal harmony  in the region and elsewhere.
On the occasion,  Congress also launched an online talent hunt for inducting public spirited young, dynamic persons to be selected for the media  department  of the party at all levels from DCC, PCC and upwards. Launching the hunt the PCC leaders explained that AICC Media Department as per guidance of LOP Shri Rahul Gandhi has taken this great initiative to open doors for all spirited young people believing in congress ideology to join the ranks of Media Department from District levels, PCC levels up to National levels by applying on line for the competition.
