Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa, and Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan, have suffered a personal loss following the demise of Dawa Sherpa on Monday morning in Jammu.
According to reports, Dawa Sherpa, father of DC Udhampur Minga Sherpa and father-in-law of DC Samba Ayushi Sudan, passed away after a brief illness. He was a retired and decorated IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre and was widely respected for his distinguished service.
Family sources said that the last rites of the departed soul will be performed in Darjeeling.
Meanwhile, condolences have poured in from administrative officers, colleagues and well-wishers, who expressed grief over the loss and extended their sympathies to the bereaved family.
