Labour Department Kishtwar today handed over death compensation to the family of the deceased worker Ashish Kumar. Resident of Kewal, Bounjwah, Kumar was working as a supervisor at the Rattle Hydroelectric Power Project and lost his life in a workplace accident.
An amount of ₹16,01,770 (Sixteen lakh one thousand seven hundred seventy) was transferred by Mega Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) into the account of ALC Kishtwar, who formally handed over a Cheque to the bereaved family.
ALC Mamta Sudershan expressed heartfelt condolences to the family and reiterated the Labour Department’s commitment to providing timely support to the employees and the families affected by workplace accidents.
