Deputy Commissioner Jammu Dr Rakesh Minhas today conducted an extensive visit of RS Pura to assess damages caused to agricultural land and adjoining stretches of the Tawi River due to recent floods.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with residents and farmers to obtain a firsthand account of the situation and losses incurred. He emphasised that the administration had assessed damages in a comprehensive way.
Relief material was distributed on the spot to flood-hit households.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that all necessary steps are being taken for rehabilitation of affected families and restoration of normalcy in the area.
