In continuation to the ongoing drive and action against drug peddlers and land grabbers, District Administration Jammu today carried out a demolition drive at village Narwal Bala, Tehsil Bahu.

The operation was conducted on the directions of District Magistrate Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas in coordination with SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh.

The District Administration demolished 8 illegal structures belonging to persons involved in multiple cases under NDPS Act. “The accused persons, despite allowing sufficient time, did not mend their ways and were actively involved in illegal sale/purchase of narcotic substances” authorities said.

The District Administration has reiterated that no illegal structures or encroachment will be tolerated and strict legal action would be initiated against those involved in NDPS related offences, besides other violations.

The anti-encroachment drive was carried out under the overall supervision of SDM Jammu South, Manu Hansa and Superintendent of Police City South Jammu, Ajay Sharma by a team consisted of Tehsildar Bahu Raju Samyal; SDPO Jammu East, Sachit Sharma; SHO Bahu Fort, Susheel Choudhary and teams from the Revenue and Police departments.
