The Central government has assigned the additional charge of the post of Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF) to 1993-batch IPS officer Praveen Kumar, who is currently serving as the DG of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
He has been appointed to the post till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
