In a significant statement, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said that Jammu & Kashmir Police should now prioritise safeguarding citizen rights after making significant progress in controlling terrorism and improving security conditions.
In a post on X, as per news agency, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that J&K police should now safeguard citizen rights.

Shah said that he reviewed implementation of three new criminal laws in J&K and directed their full implementation in UT by April 2025.
