Lt Governor of Ladakh Shri Kavinder Gupta received a grand welcome today upon his arrival at Jammu Airport, marking his first visit to Jammu after assuming the prestigious office of Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.

A large number of enthusiastic BJP supporters had gathered outside the Jammu Airport to greet him. BJP J&K President Sat Sharma led the welcoming party, joined by hundreds of party workers, youth activists, and members of Mahila Morcha, who showered flowers and raised slogans in his honour.

A massive rally was taken out from the airport to the Guest House, reflecting the admiration and pride of party workers for Kavinder Gupta’s remarkable political journey from Jammu to the highest constitutional position in Ladakh.

Later, while interacting with the media, Lt Governor Kavinder Gupta expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Jammu and BJP karyakartas for their unwavering support throughout his political career. “Your support and blessings have guided me at every step of my journey,” he said.

The Lt Governor shared that development projects worth Rs 180 crores have been initiated in Ladakh recently and assured that under his leadership, every possible effort will be made to usher in a new era of growth and prosperity in the Union Territory. “My commitment is to serve the people of Ladakh with dedication and make it a model region of sustainable and inclusive development,” he added.

The event was marked by high enthusiasm, emotional moments, and a strong reaffirmation of unity between the people of Jammu and Ladakh.

 

Later, he visited the historic Bawe Wali Mata Temple at Bahu Fort to seek the divine blessings of Goddess Mahakali. He offered prayers and expressed his gratitude to Maa Bawe Wali for her continuous blessings. He also thanked the Goddess for bestowing upon him the honour of being appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, vowing to fulfill his responsibilities with utmost sincerity and devotion.
