Several legislators, including Qaiser Jamshed Lone, Ghulam Mohiuddin, Hasnain Masoodi, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad, R. S. Pathania and Showkat Ganai, called on Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, at the Civil Secretariat, here.
The meeting witnessed wide-ranging deliberations on critical developmental concerns, including augmentation of water supply schemes and timely execution of flood protection works across Jammu & Kashmir.
Matters relating to tribal welfare and forest management also featured prominently during the discussions.
The Minister appreciated the constructive inputs shared by the legislators and emphasized the importance of their active oversight in their respective constituencies. He underscored that continued supervision and cooperation from public representatives is vital to ensure effective implementation of welfare measures and developmental projects.
Rana reaffirmed the Omar Abdullah-led Government’s commitment to address public needs with efficiency and transparency, while urging legislators to remain proactive in monitoring progress for the larger benefit of the people.
