Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday led a padyatra in Budgam as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, aimed at raising awareness against drug abuse and promoting a healthier society.
The padyatra witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, youth, civil society members, and officials, reflecting a collective commitment to eradicate the menace of substance abuse from the region.
Addressing the participants, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized the importance of community involvement in the fight against drugs and urged people, especially the youth, to stay away from narcotics and contribute towards building a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.
He reiterated the administration’s firm resolve to intensify efforts under the campaign and ensure strict action against drug peddlers while simultaneously focusing on awareness, rehabilitation, and prevention.
The event concluded with a renewed pledge by participants to support the Nasha Mukht J&K Abhiyan and work collectively towards a safer and healthier society.
