Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday paid rich tributes to martyred Army officer Lieutenant Beereshwar Goswami, who made the supreme sacrifice while performing operational duties in Rajouri district.
In a message shared on X, the Lieutenant Governor said he laid a wreath and paid homage to the brave officer, stating that the nation would always remember and honour his selfless service and sacrifice.
“Laid a wreath and paid homage to our Army Braveheart Lieutenant Beereshwar Goswami. The nation will forever remain indebted to his supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. We stand firmly with the family of the martyr in this difficult hour,” LG Sinha said.
Lieutenant Goswami lost his life during an operational deployment in Rajouri while serving the nation with unwavering courage and dedication. His martyrdom has evoked widespread grief, with tributes pouring in from civil administration, security forces and people from different walks of life.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, the Lieutenant Governor assured them of the nation’s steadfast support and prayed for strength to help them endure this irreparable loss.
The sacrifice of Lt Beereshwar Goswami will continue to inspire generations and remain etched in the nation’s memory, he said.
