Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), J&K Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Shah along today reviewed the implementation of JJM in district Kulgam through virtual mode. The chair was appraised about the various components under execution through a power point presentation.
As per the figures 143 schemes are in different phases of execution in the district out of which 102 schemes have been completed so far. 337 civil works which include Dug wells, bore wells , Rapid sand filtration plants, Slow Sand Filtration plants, Over Head Tanks and laying of pipe networks have been allotted out of which 244 works stand completed.
The chair took a comprehensive review of all components and directed the concerned officers to give a new impetus to the works stalled due to harsh weather conditions. The Mission director emphasized the need to complete the schemes on time so that the beneficiaries of these schemes are benefitted.
The Chair directed all officers to speed up the process of Har Ghar Certification of reported villages within 10 days, as per the guidelines of National Jal Jeevan Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India.
The meeting was attended by top Jal Shakti Officials of the district, Consultant JJM, and Project Manager DPMU besides representatives of Third Party Monitoring Agency (TPIA) also attended the meeting.
