Under the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), Regional Directorate, Chandigarh, Sub-Office Jammu, on Wednesday honoured outstandingly performing cooperative societies and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) of Jammu & Kashmir with the NCDC Regional Cooperative Excellence and Merit Awards 2025, thereby providing a renewed impetus to the cooperative movement in the Union Territory.

The award ceremony was held at the Registrar Cooperative Societies Complex, Jammu, in the presence of   Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Jammu Bal Krishan; Joint Registrar (Audit), Cooperative Societies Priyanka Bhatt and    Assistant Director National Cooperative Development Corporation Akshay Kumar.

 In the Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) category, FPO Shivalik Hills Honey Limited Kathua, was conferred the First Prize, while Kashmir Shehjar Organic Honey FPO Cooperative Limited, Pulwama was awarded the Second Prize.

The winning societies were presented with cash awards, certificates of appreciation and mementos.

The programme was conducted and concluded by Akshay Kumar, Assistant Director, NCDC, Jammu with a formal vote of thanks.
