Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Additional General Secretary of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference and Former Minister, today expressed grave concern over the NEET paper leak frequently in BJP regime, saying such incidents trample the confidence of aspirational youth in the system and severely sap their spirit at a crucial stage of their career building. Interacting with the youth at Kulien in Jammu North Assembly Constituency,  Sadhotra described the paper leak as a glaring failure of the Centre in safeguarding the legitimate rights and future of the younger generation. 
He said the youth of the country work tirelessly with dedication and discipline to compete in national level examinations and any lapse or manipulation in such examinations delivers a devastating blow to their morale. 
“The youth are the future of the nation and their trust in institutions must remain intact,” he said, adding that repeated controversies in recruitment examinations and entrance tests have generated uncertainty and anxiety among candidates preparing for various competitive exams and educated unemployed youth across the country. 
Sadhotra sought foolproof and credible mechanism for holding NEET examinations. Sadhotra also referred to growing frustration among educated youngsters needs to be addressed with sincerity and urgency. He emphasized that transparent recruitment mechanisms and fair examinations are essential for strengthening faith in democratic institutions and governance. 
Referring to the assurance given by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah regarding the filling up of 25,000 vacancies in various government departments, Sadhotra said the initiative would go a long way in assuaging the aspirations of educated unemployed youth and empowering them economically and socially.
He said the proposed mega employment drive has rekindled hope among thousands of deserving candidates waiting for opportunities in the government sector. He urged the youth to remain focused, work hard and prepare themselves for the upcoming recruitment process.
“The commitment to fill vacancies demonstrates the resolve of the government towards addressing unemployment and creating avenues for the younger generation,” he said, adding that merit, transparency and equal opportunity must remain the guiding principles in all recruitments. 
Highlighting the pro-people agenda of the National Conference,  Sadhotra said the party remains committed to the welfare of the people and inclusive development of both the regions and sub-regions of Jammu and Kashmir. He said balanced growth and equitable development have always remained the core philosophy of the party. During the interaction, local residents raised issues relating to irregular power supply and shortage of drinking water in the area. 
Responding to their concerns, Sadhotra assured the gathering that these issues would be taken up at the appropriate forum for early redressal. He reiterated that the National Conference stands with the people in highlighting and resolving issues concerning public welfare and basic amenities.
