The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed Jagjyot Singh Raina as Coordinator for the upcoming Delhi University Students’ Union elections.
Raina, a youth leader from Jammu, has been associated with the Congress’s student and youth organisations for several years. He is a former worker of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) and currently serves as a leader in the Youth Congress.
The appointment is being viewed as recognition of Raina’s organisational experience, commitment to student issues and active involvement in public and political affairs. As coordinator, he will be responsible for supporting election-related coordination, strengthening communication among student leaders and assisting the party’s campaign and organisational activities during the election process.
Following the appointment, party workers and supporters from Jammu congratulated Raina and expressed confidence in his ability to effectively discharge the responsibility entrusted to him by the AICC. They said his experience with the NSUI and Youth Congress would help him connect with students and understand their concerns.
Raina thanked the AICC leadership for placing its trust in him and assured that he would work with dedication, discipline and sincerity. He said he would strive to strengthen the organisation and ensure that student concerns remain central to the election campaign.
