Sat Sharma, President, BJP J&K and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), chaired an organizational meeting of BJP Mahila Morcha led by its President Adv. Neha Mahajan at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

The meeting witnessed the participation of the entire State team of the Morcha.

Addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma underscored the pivotal role of women in nation-building and reiterated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s unwavering commitment to “Women-Led Development” as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stated that under the visionary leadership of PM Modi, women empowerment has moved beyond slogans to structured policy implementation, ensuring dignity, security, and equal opportunity for women across the country.

Highlighting landmark initiatives of the Modi Government such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana (with priority ownership for women), Jan Dhan Yojana ensuring financial inclusion, and Mudra Yojana enabling women entrepreneurship, Sat Sharma said that these transformative schemes have strengthened the socio-economic foundation of millions of women. He asserted that BJP Mahila Morcha activists must act as ambassadors of these welfare measures at the grassroots level, ensuring their benefits reach every eligible household in Jammu & Kashmir.

Sat Sharma took comprehensive review of the “Mahila Samvad” programmes conducted across districts. He sought detailed reports on outreach, participation, and public feedback, appreciating the proactive efforts of district units.

Calling for intensified “Pravas” by District Incharges, Sat Sharma directed leaders to strengthen the organization from District to Mandal and Booth levels, identify emerging women leaders, and ensure their meaningful participation in party campaigns and public programmes. He stressed that booth-level empowerment of women workers is essential for electoral and organizational consolidation in the Union Territory.

Speaking on the occasion, Neha Mahajan outlined the roadmap for upcoming programmes, including preparations for International Women’s Day celebrations across J&K, with a focus on showcasing the achievements of women beneficiaries of Central schemes. She emphasized structured planning, documentation, and systematic follow-up to convert outreach into sustained organizational strength. She further called for unity, discipline, and a collective resolve to further expand and consolidate BJP Mahila Morcha as a powerful force driving women empowerment in Jammu & Kashmir.
