Actor Allu Arjun is expected to appear before police on Tuesday morning in connection with the ongoing investigation into the December 4 stampede during the screening of his film 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'.
The actor was issued notice to appear before police at 11 a.m., quoted Chikkadpally Police Inspector Raju Naik as saying.
This comes after Arjun earlier stated that he would fully cooperate with the probe. The notice to the actor came after a video was released by police commissioner CV Anand showing the sequence of events at the theatre.
The stampede at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4 -- a day before the film's release in cinemas -- resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman, while her eight-year-old son was hospitalised. The city police later lodged a case against the actor, his security team as well as the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station.
