The security forces on Monday recovered a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED), a rusted anti-tank mine and a mortar shell in Rajouri and Samba districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said the security forces recovered one suspected IED along a link road in Saranoo village during a routine patrol.
They said that the bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot and it was defused.
In a separate incident, security personnel said a rusted anti-tank mine and mortar shell were defused after they were found by villagers at separate places near Regal Post.
The anti-tank mine and mortar shell were defused after the villagers informed the nearby BSF post and in the Bari Brahmana area respectively.
The explosive devices were defused on the spot, they added.
