To ensure smooth and incident-free conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS*, on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive security review of all Langer points established along the National Highway in District Kathua, including Lakhanpur.
The SSP Kathua was accompanied by all jurisdictional officers during the inspection drive. A detailed assessment of security arrangements and other logistical facilities was carried out at every Langer point en route the Yatra axis.
During the visit, she issued spot directions to officers concerned for strengthening security measures and ensuring effective coordination among all stakeholders for the peaceful conduct of the Annual Pilgrimage.
The SSP Kathua also reviewed arrangements related to surveillance, traffic management, parking facilities and public convenience measures. All Langer Management Committees were directed to ensure strict compliance with requisite guidelines, including installation of CCTV cameras, adequate parking space and other essential facilities for devotees.
Kathua Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe, secure and hassle-free pilgrimage for the yatris undertaking the holy Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.
