Leader of Opposition in Jammu & Kashmir, Sunil Sharma, launched a sharp attack on the government, accusing it of running away from public issues and showing complete lack of preparedness during the ongoing Assembly session.

Sharma said the people of Jammu & Kashmir had high expectations that the government would present clear answers on pressing matters such as unemployment, development, power crisis, and public welfare, but instead, the ministers failed to respond convincingly to even basic questions raised by the Opposition.

“The government seems more interested in avoiding accountability than in addressing the hardships faced by the people,” Sharma remarked. “When ministers come unprepared to the House, it reflects their disregard for democratic responsibility and the issues that affect every household in J&K.”

He emphasized that the Assembly is the supreme platform of people’s representation and must not be reduced to a mere formality. “The Opposition will continue to raise the voice of the common people, demand answers, and expose the government’s failures both inside and outside the House,” Sharma asserted.

Reiterating his commitment to transparency, good governance, and people’s welfare, the Leader of Opposition urged the government to act responsibly and engage constructively in legislative discussions rather than evading them.
