Security forces detected two suspicious objects in South Kashmir’s Shopian and Pulwama districts on Tuesday, prompting a security alert and deployment of bomb disposal squads.
According to officials, the first object was spotted in Kashwa Chitragam, Zainapora, Shopian. The area was immediately cordoned off, and a bomb disposal squad was called in to assess and neutralise the threat.
Later in the day, another suspicious object, resembling an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), was found at Pinglish Nagwadi in Tral, Pulwama. Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area, and the bomb disposal team was deployed to destroy the object.Authorities have launched an investigation into both incidents to determine the nature of the objects and any potential security threats.
