‘Border 2’: A Sequel to the Legendary 1997 War Film
“Border 2” is the much-awaited sequel to the 1997 blockbuster “Border”, a war epic based on the Battle of Longewala (1971). The original film, directed by J.P. Dutta, depicted the bravery of Indian soldiers during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and featured a stellar ensemble cast, including Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, and Pooja Bhatt.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the sequel shifts focus to the 1999 Kargil War, where Pakistani troops infiltrated across the Line of Control (LoC), leading to a historic battle.
The film boasts an impressive cast, with Varun Dhawan joined by Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in pivotal roles.
