Recovery operations are continuing in the flood-hit areas of Rajouri district after recent flash floods swept away dozens of parked vehicles, causing extensive damage and significant financial losses.
Heavy cranes and recovery equipment have been deployed to retrieve vehicles from the affected locations, particularly the New Bella Bus Stand, where floodwaters struck suddenly during the night. 
Most of the vehicles recovered so far have been found completely damaged after being dragged away by the powerful currents.
Officials believe the number of affected vehicles is much higher, with several still buried beneath thick layers of mud, silt, and debris. 
The vehicles had been parked at the bus stand when the flash floods inundated the area, leaving owners with little or no time to move them to safety.
The damaged vehicles include private cars, commercial vehicles, and several trucks that had arrived from Jammu carrying goods. 
Authorities are continuing debris-clearing operations while recovery teams search for additional vehicles trapped under the flood deposits.
The district administration is also assessing the extent of the damage and overall losses caused by the flash floods, as restoration and cleanup efforts continue across the affected areas.
