Mukesh Singh, a 1996 batch IPS officer who earlier served as Additional Director General of Police Jammu, has been appointed as Additional Director General in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
According to the official order, the approval has been granted by the competent authority for his appointment as ADGP in ITBP in Level-15 of the Pay Matrix.
He has been posted against an existing vacancy and will serve in the position from the date he assumes charge.
His tenure will continue up to October 17, 2028, which amounts to five years, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
The order further directed that the date on which he takes over the charge of the post should be communicated to the Ministry.
“The undersigned is directed to refer to Indo-Tibetan Border Police’s Note and to convey approval of the Competent Authority for appointment of Mukesh Singh, IPS (AGMUT:1996), Inspector General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) as Additional Director General (Level-15 in the Pay Matrix), ITBP, against existing vacancy from the date of assumption of charge of the post and upto 17.10.2028 (total five years) or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The date of assumption of charge of the post by the officer may be intimated to this Ministry.
