The Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister’s Office has appealed to India’s Ministry of External Affairs for immediate intervention to ensure the safety of Kashmiri students currently stranded in Iran. The students' families are deeply concerned as regional security deteriorates following major military exchanges between Israel and Iran.

The request, shared via the CM Office’s official Twitter account, specifically tagged Minister S. Jaishankar:
This call for action comes in the context of a sharp escalation in hostilities. On June 12, Israel launched a significant military operation codenamed- Operation Rising Lion, against Iran’s nuclear and military sites, including the Natanz uranium enrichment facility and missile production centres. Tehran responded by launching over 100 drones toward Israeli territory.
