Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday officially accorded Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister, the rank and privileges of a Cabinet Minister.
A formal order, a copy of which lies with the news agency, states that Nasir Aslam Wani will be entitled to a monthly consolidated salary of Rs 80,000, along with rent-free accommodation and transport facilities to be provided by the Motor Garages Department.
Nasir Aslam Wani is a senior leader of the National Conference and a close aide of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. (KNC)
