The J&K Police of distric Kathua today recovered narcotic substance during checking at two different places in district Kathua. One Kg Charas was recovered at Madraki link road and 41.5 Kgs of poppy straw was recovered from a drug peddler at Lakhanpur Toll plaza. As per the various reports received by The Publish in Jammu and Kashmir, the use of drugs is on a rise in J&K and lot of youth have already lost their lives because of different types of Drugs consumption. Various organizations have been working towards educating youth about the menace of drug abuse but no significant change has been observed on ground. The J&K Police will have to take strict measures to curb this menace in future.
