Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday paid solemn tributes to the two soldiers who lost their lives in the ongoing Kulgam encounter, acknowledging their supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
In a post on X, the Office of J&K CM, wrote that the CM attended the wreath-laying ceremony of the slain soldiers. “Their exemplary courage, unwavering valour, and ultimate sacrifice will be eternally remembered with deep respect and gratitude,” the post read.

Chief Minister also conveyed condolences to the bereaved families, reaffirming that the nation stands firmly with them in this moment of grief.

On Monday morning a gunfight erupted in the Gudder area of Kulgam after security forces received an intelligence input of the terrorist movement which turned into fierce battle and later 2 terrorists were killed while 3 army jawans including JCO was injured in which 2 army jawans succumbed to their injuries.
